This innocent scapegoat is, of course, the victim of atrocious, Nazi terrorism and Nazi propaganda techniques like the Big Lie and scapegoating. Remember, in the 1930s, during the growth of the Nazi Party in Germany, Nazis labeled the Jews thieves, rapists, paedophiles, and too liberal in the press. These frame jobs were big Nazi lies that became press propaganda that led to a German Nazi state and the systematic murder of more than 6,000,000 civilian Jews, gypsies, and liberal intellectuals, particularly academics. Liberal luminaries, with Jewish backgrounds, like Theodor Adorno and Herbert Marcuse fled to the United States where they flourished. Walter Benjamin fled death-by-Nazi with his library and flourished in Paris before, according to legend, he suicided on the border of Spain with the Nazis closing in. The writing of Walter Benjamin lives on. Read Illuminations, read Reflections, understand why his notion of the constellation (multipolar) is an improvement on the dialectic (binary), read The Arcades Project (his café writings in Paris) for its intellectual pyrotechnics and its melancholy and acerbic wit. Really, we've seen dirty, rotten Catholic-Nazi rape towns before but for a town of 10,000, this one disgraced itself. Those who remain, hurray. We obeyed the Law. The future is bright. Like I've thought from the start, reforming this city by law is really only a personnel shift.
